Before and during the course FAQs
No, this 2-day course will include basic concepts of FMEA, making it ideal for any developers, designers, engineers, auditors and managers who are new to the subject.
The Core Tools training courses offer more detail in specific tools to support product and process development and improvement.
There are 5 Core Tools, covered in 4 courses, and you can book any of the courses in any order. Book 2 together and you will receive a discount, or learn about all 5 tools and you can take advantage of our Core Tools training package for even greater cost effectiveness.
The Core Tools courses are one element of our business improvement training programme, which also covers Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and the EFQM Excellence Model.
Yes, your certificate of attendance will be sent to you or the person who booked your training after you have completed the course. This will confirm your attendance and completion of 14 hours CPD.
Yes, this Bywater course is CQI and IRCA certified, and you will receive a certificate after training to demonstrate you have achieved new professional skills and standing in line with the requirements of this internationally recognised body.
No, the course complements our ISO 14001 and environmental management systems (EMS) training, and also works as a standalone course for those whose interest is specifically carbon reduction, climate change, sustainability and the pathway to net zero.
It offers value to people who are new to the subject, as well as those who would appreciate a refresher.
Yes, your certificate will be sent to you after the course. The certificate will confirm that the course was approved by the Royal Statistical Society, and can be used to demonstrate your new level of Six Sigma skills to employers, colleagues and in wider circles such as LinkedIn.
Certification by the Royal Statistical Society (RSS) allows you to be added to the RSS register, where organisations will often search for Six Sigma professionals.
However, certification is not essential and does require you to keep a portfolio of your projects, attend an Assessment Centre, be interviewed and take a test. Many of our delegates find that learning Black Belt skills without certification on our 10-day Black Belt course gives them the capabilities they need to participate in improvement projects effectively and progress their careers.
While we offer courses for a range of Core Tools you can choose your own priorities for training.
Our complementary Core Tools courses cover:
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
If you would like to book 2 courses, you will receive a £100 discount if booked at the same time.
You may like to book all 4 courses. By selecting our Core Tools Package option, you can receive all these courses at a significant discount.
The IMS auditor training gives current auditors with expertise in quality, environmental and/or health & safety standards the opportunity to extend their knowledge to other disciplines. You will gain practical insights into managing multiple management systems with an integrated approach.
The course will benefit you most if you have a good basic understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. If you feel your current knowledge could do with updating, one option would be to first attend our 1-day Integrated Management Systems Overview course.
Bywater became a Royal Statistical Society (RSS) Approved Training Organisation in 2021. The RSS has approved all of our Six Sigma training courses, confirming that our training covers the competency requirements as defined in the ISO 18404 standard, and as interpreted in the RSS 18404 Sector Scheme, which sets out the requirements for certification against ISO 18404.
To meet RSS requirements, all our tutors have to be approved by the RSS. That means they must demonstrate experience in their subjects, in managing courses, and in facilitating skills. Our highly capable Six Sigma tutors include Master Black Belts who participated in the development of ISO 18404.
