Virtual Classroom Training is a live, tutor-led learning experience that utilises video conferencing technology to provide a highly engaging and interactive online course.  Delegates are able to participate in group sessions, collaborate and up-skill from the convenience of their home or location of choice.

Bywater is a leading provider of management systems and business improvement Virtual Classroom events with one of the most extensive ranges of online course titles and dates available. All of our courses can be delivered via Virtual Classroom Training and maintain their certifications with professional bodies such as CQI and IRCA, IEMA and IOSH.

How It Works

Our online Virtual Classroom Training courses enjoy all of the benefits of our venue based Scheduled Training courses with the added convenience of not having to leave your home. Limited classroom sizes ensures maximum engagement.

We use Zoom, a video-conferencing platform, as our preferred training delivery solution. Zoom’s technology ensures the course is interactive and engaging with functions such as:

  • Group work: The tutor will split the group into teams/breakout rooms to undertake case studies, workshops and role plays.
  • Screensharing: The tutor will share their screen, including PowerPoints presentations and course materials with you. Delegates can also share their screen.
  • Interactive whiteboard: Annotate the whiteboard with your group’s thoughts.
  • Microphone and audio: See, hear and interact with the tutor and other delegates.
  • Filesharing: Send and receive files during the course.
  • Exams: For courses which include an exam, the exam is completed on our user-friendly online exam platform.  Exams are invigilated and anti-plagiarism software is in use.

You will be provided with joining instructions and a guide to Zoom prior to the course date.  Zoom’s user-friendly interface means no previous experience on Zoom is required. Taster sessions are available upon request, please contact our team for more information.

Dedicated Training

All of our training courses are available on a dedicated basis within the virtual classroom environment. Dedicated training is often more cost effective and convenient for those wishing to train 3 or more employees. Whilst our recommended delivery method is Zoom we can provide dedicated training on your preferred video conferencing platform including Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business.

Virtual Classroom FAQs

How easy is it to use the Virtual Classroom?

Our Virtual Classroom training is very easy to use as we use user-friendly video conferencing technology. If you have any concerns about using our Virtual Classroom, please contact our Training Team who will be happy to set up a test call with you.

I am concerned the course won’t be as interactive as a venue-based course, is this the case?

No, in fact quite the opposite. Many delegates have expressed this concern to us prior to the course and then within their feedback have rated the level of interaction and the Virtual Classroom experience as items which exceeded their expectations. View our Virtual Classroom Training reviews.

I am concerned by the length of time sitting at a computer to undertake the course, how is this dealt with?

Our course times and breaks have been reviewed for virtual classroom courses to provide a comfortable learning experience.

My course includes an exam, how will this work?

The exams work in a very similar way to face to face exams however, instead of writing your answers on paper you will be typing these within our user-friendly virtual exam platform. Exams are invigilated via video-conferencing and measures are in place, including anti-plagiarism software, to prevent cheating. The full exam protocol is provided prior to the exam.  Professional bodies, including IEMA, CQI and IRCA, have approved virtual exam process.

If you are concerned by your connection you may wish to consider undertaking the course from an alternative location, for example your office. If you do have problems with connectivity during the course please contact our team on 0333 123 9001 who will do their upmost to help resolve any issues for you.
