CastAlum had In-house training delivered for IATF 16949

Lee from CastAlum attended In-house training for IATF 16949 Internal Auditor training, this has enabled the company to train a number of staff to audit and to the new standard.

What were your training objectives?

To gain an understanding of carrying out internal audits, as a company we are raising the number of employees carrying out audits.

What learning did you take from the course?

A greater understanding of the standards and how to navigate through detail to find the correct information and solutions.

Also the importance of being prepared before starting an audit.

Have you been able to apply anything since the course?

Early days yet but have done some audits together with members of the group on the same course.

What have been the benefits for you and the business?

We have increased the number of employees who feel confident carrying out audits and we are hoping to develop and take further training enabling people to go out and carry out audits on our suppliers.

How was the tutor?

Excellent.

What were the benefits of having the training In-house at your organisation?

Able to release enough people and our facilities are very good.

Any advice to delegates?

Take part fully in all the practical elements of the course, then practice, practice, practice to develop confidence.
