Before and during the course FAQs
Upon completing a CQI and IRCA certified training course with Bywater, you will receive a certificate and be able to add the course to your CV and LinkedIn profile. This will show your employer and future employers that you have the skills and experience to audit a management system.
Some delegates register with IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) after completing the course. The IRCA grade you can obtain depends on your training course and career experience. Our Lead Auditor training courses satisfy the learning requirements for becoming an IRCA Lead Auditor.
Becoming an IRCA certified auditor is beneficial. You can appear on the online register for auditors, gain access to IRCA's eLibrary, and network with other professionals in your field. Further details of IRCA benefits can be found here.
- Click on your name to view your LinkedIn profile
- Scroll down to 'Licenses & certifications' and click the add '+' button on the right (on the mobile app click the pencil icon and then the '+' symbol)
- Enter the name of your certificate, for example, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Under Issue Organisation, type and then select 'Bywater'. Enter the date and credential ID where relevant.
- Click 'Save'.
As LinkedIn no longer shares changes to licenses and certificates with your network we recommend that you also post a status about your achievement. Within the post you may wish to include details such as what you enjoyed the most about the course, what you learned and how the course will benefit you in the future. You may also wish to include a photo of your certificate.
To tag Bywater, simply type @Bywater within the post.
You will need a laptop or desktop computer with camera, headphones and microphone, and a good internet connection to participate in the training. We use Zoom as our communication platform, which is straightforward to set up. We recommend that you test your equipment well before the class so there is less likelihood of problems on the day.
We will send you course notes in advance, which you can use to follow the class, make your own notes, and retain as a valuable reminder as you start to apply your new skills in your work role.
You may also find it useful to have a copy of the standard to hand.
You will need a PC, laptop or tablet with a webcam and headset with microphone (built in or connected via USB). You will also need a stable internet connection and be ready to enter a Zoom meeting using the invitation we will send you. To get the most out of your class you will also need a quiet space where there is no background noise and interruption.
A week before the course start date, you will receive an email with a link to the virtual classroom, together with a meeting ID and password. This will enable you to join the training from your browser.
