There are steps you can take before your training course to help you make the most of your training, such as:

  • Gain some understanding of the course topic. Before you start the training course, it's helpful to have a basic understanding of the subject matter that you will be working with. You can find information about specific ISO standards, for example, on the website of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
  • Take advantage of pre-course activities that are offered. This could include quizzes and tasks to complete.
  • Gather any relevant documentation. If, for example, your organisation is already certified to the relevant ISO standard, you may want to gather any supporting documentation, such as your quality manual, procedures, and records. This will help you understand how your organisation is currently meeting requirements.
  • Set some goals for yourself. What do you hope to achieve by taking this course? Do you want to learn new skills, improve your knowledge of a particular area, or simply get a better understanding of how businesses operate?
  • Be prepared to participate. Our training courses are typically interactive and involve a lot of discussion and participation. To get the most out of the course, be prepared to participate in class discussions, ask questions, and complete exercises.

Services enabled on the firewall are kept to a minimum and any changes are monitored daily by our IT support company. If a service is no longer required it is removed immediately from the firewall. Requests for new services have to be approved by a director and installed by our IT support company.

Upon completing a CQI and IRCA certified training course with Bywater, you will receive a certificate and be able to add the course to your CV and LinkedIn profile. This will show your employer and future employers that you have the skills and experience to audit a management system.

Some delegates register with IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) after completing the course. The IRCA grade you can obtain depends on your training course and career experience. Our Lead Auditor training courses satisfy the learning requirements for becoming an IRCA Lead Auditor.

Becoming an IRCA certified auditor is beneficial. You can appear on the online register for auditors, gain access to IRCA's eLibrary, and network with other professionals in your field. Further details of IRCA benefits can be found here.

If you have a copy of the standard, it would be useful to bring it to any of our ISO 27001 training courses. If you do not have a copy within your organisation, you can buy one directly from the ISO or any of their global resellers. If you experience problems, please contact us.

Documentation is important, but there is much more to successful contract management, which our expert tutor will cover in the course, and you will get an opportunity to discuss and practise over the 2 days. For example, how do you influence people to good outcomes? Why and how do you build good relationships? Why is risk management important? How do you measure and achieve great performance?

With many nations setting goals for achieving carbon net zero, having a plan for reducing carbon emissions within organisations is vital. By attending this Carbon Management training course, you will gain the knowledge to help your organisation achieve its own targets. You will receive a certificate as evidence of your newly acquired knowledge around carbon accounting and reduction, as well as demonstrating your appreciation of the complexity of carbon offsetting.  The course is also the equivalent of 14 hours of CPD.

You will need a PC, laptop or tablet with a webcam and headset with microphone (built in or connected via USB). You will also need a stable internet connection and be ready to enter a Zoom meeting using the invitation we will send you. To get the most out of your class you will also need a quiet space where there is no background noise and interruption.

A week before the course start date, you will receive an email with a link to the virtual classroom, together with a meeting ID and password. This will enable you to join the training from your browser.

CQI and IRCA uses a remote invigilating service called Easy Proctor. The system takes images of your photo ID and your face, and records your presence using the webcam and microphone and your screen during the exam.

Once the exam is over, Easy Proctor checks your photo ID against your facial image to verify your identify. It will also analyse the exam session recording to check for unexpected sounds, movement, objects or people, for example. If it spots what it thinks are anomalies, the system will flag these to CQI and IRCA.

CQI and IRCA will arrange for a female proctor to check the identification and proctoring recording of a female Muslim learner.
