Before and during the course FAQs
We run this 1-day course at venues across the UK and online in our global Virtual Classroom. It can also be delivered exclusively for your business on an in-company basis.
Bywater process mapping training is led by one of our expert tutors, who is available in real time to guide and answer questions as the course progresses. Because we limit class sizes, everyone gets the opportunity to be part of the discussion.
If you are already a lead auditor, then our certified Auditor Conversion training courses are designed to help you expand your knowledge and skills to audit an additional management system. These include:
- ISO 45001 Occupation Health & Safety Management System (OH&SMS) Auditor Conversion course
- ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) Auditor Conversion course
- ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Auditor Conversion course
The courses will give you the knowledge and skills to undertake 1st, 2nd and 3rd party audits against your chosen management system standard.
This lead auditor course is ideal for anyone who is involved in 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd party audits of an OH&S management system, including managers, team leaders and health and safety professionals, and well as those performing audits.
The internal auditor courses focuses more closely on carrying out audits within the delegate’s own organisation. Again anyone with a role to play or an interest in auditing can gain valuable knowledge from this course.
In both cases, it is recommend that delegates have some understanding of ISO 45001 before attending an auditor course. If you do not feel confident in your knowledge, you can first attend our Introduction to ISO 45001 training course.
This 1-day course comprises a half day on each of Kaizen and 5S. You can choose to attend just for a half day to learn about either 5S or Kaizen, or for the whole day. Please contact us for more information.
Yes, we will send you pre-course work with your joining instructions. The aim of this work is to help you understand your current quality management knowledge and be able to participate confidently in group discussions from day one.
The work only takes about 2 hours to complete, and we do not ask you to send it back to us before the start of the course.
Bywater runs a comprehensive programme of training around the requirements placed on medical device developers and manufacturers to ensure devices meet standards on safety and usability. These include introductory and more detailed training around auditing, risk analysis, and regional requirements. Our complementary courses focus on a number of standards relevant to medical devices, such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, Quality Systems Regulations, and BS EN 62366.
Yes, Bywater provides certificates for delegates to courses to confirm attendance and new skills learned. We will send the certificate to you or the course booker after the course has been completed.
This course is equivalent to 7 hours CPD.
This Lean Basics course is designed to give an overview of Lean to people and organisations who are new to the concept. It will help potential stakeholders understand what Lean is and the benefits and barriers of its implementation.
The knowledge gained can give attendees an opportunity to understand and evaluate what Lean could mean for their organisation, supporting informed decision-making.
The Bywater Introduction to ISO 9001:2015 course provides a good grounding for anyone interested in the role of quality management systems and requirements of ISO 9001. It also offers a valuable foundation for those who wish to learn how to apply their knowledge to auditing. Delegates completing the course will receive a Bywater Certificate of Attendance.
Aspiring auditors can then progress from this course onto our CQI and IRCA certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and Internal Auditor training courses. Here they will learn practical skills and will be required to demonstrate their new knowledge by passing an approved exam at the end of the course. Their success will be acknowledged with a globally recognised and career-enhancing Certificate of Achievement.
