Alpha Laboratories reduce their non conformances
Aja attended the Introduction to ISO 9001 training course in Southampton and now has more confidence to review the QMS documents for the next audit.
What were your training objectives?
Learning about the standard so that I could undertake my new role as quality officer and how ISO 9001:2015 clauses matter to my role.
What learning did you take from the course?
I have a much better understanding of ISO 9001:2015. Everything that I learned on the course is relevant to my role and has helped me settle in.
Have you been able to apply anything since the course?
Yes – I am now in charge of the Non- conformances register and actively speak with people around the business who are SME’s, to understand the issues and resolve them using root cause analysis and CAPA.
I have also started a review of the QMS documents for the next audit – something I would not have felt happy doing without understanding the clauses about QMS, Improvement and documented information.
What have been the benefits for you and the business?
Since joining the company on the 2nd Jan I have reduced the outstanding non- conformance’s considerably. We have a good procedure for dealing and documenting all the actions, so that when we are audited we have the correct paperwork and evidence required.
What was the venue like?
Very nice setting, great food and helpful staff
Any advice to delegates?
By using the coursework to refer to the standard and its clauses, it really helps to demystify it.
Would you recommend Bywater?
