Rosti have been able to write a new Supplier Quality Management Manual

Venetia from Rosti attended IATF 16949 Lead Auditor training at Oulton Hall, Leeds and took a great deal from the course including writing how to write a report. She also found the role play helped her to understand the importance of listening to the auditee.

What were your training objectives?

I have worked with quality before but I needed to learn about 2nd party audits and how to conduct them competently as I have recently moved to a new job

What learning did you take from the course?

Everything!

It has really taught me how to be self –disciplined in writing notes and the report. I understand the approach much better now and can appreciate other professionals as well. I know that I need to create trust and listen to the auditee and let them point out their own issues.

I was from a very different background to most attending the course and the tutor was helped the group to understand my background and we were able to learn from our different experiences.

Have you been able to apply anything since the course?

I have been able to complete my first audit, and throughout I was learning all the time. The role play within the training definitely helped and showed me how to approach the quality team and apply the standard correctly.

What have been the benefits for you and the business?

I have been able to write a new Supplier Quality Management Manual which is now with the CEO for approval – this is part of a newly implemented management system.

I have also been responsible for four clients and reporting back on their performance and holding a communication meeting to ensure they comply with the new standard.

How was the tutor?

The tutors were very inspiring and supportive and had great experience and were professional. It was very interactive.

What was the venue like?

Leeds Oulton Hall – Good facilities, the service could be a little better.

Any advice to delegates?

I was not from a quality background and I was able to cope with and understand the information. Tutors are very supportive and people of all levels can benefit from the training – just do the training!

Would you recommend Bywater?

Yes I would recommend Bywater, I have been on other legal and commercial training and this was better.
