I completed a CQI and IRCA training course, am I an IRCA certified auditor?

Upon successfully completing a CQI and IRCA certified training course with Bywater you will receive a certificate to show you have successfully completed, and passed the course. We recommend putting details of the course on your CV and LinkedIn profile as it add value, not only to show that you are able to audit a management system but also shows your employer, and/or future employer, that you have skills including decision making and planning competencies.

Following the course, some delegates register with IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors). IRCA has various grades available, for full details please visit IRCA’s website. The IRCA grade you can obtain depends on the training course you have completed and your career experience. Our Lead Auditor training courses satisfy the learning requirements for becoming an IRCA Lead Auditor. To apply to become an IRCA Lead Auditor, delegates are also required to have auditing experience. If you have completed one of our Lead Auditor courses but have yet to undertake an audit within the workplace you may wish to apply to become an Associate Auditor.

Becoming an IRCA certified auditor is beneficial to some individuals, for example you will appear on the online register for auditors, you will gain access to IRCA’s eLibrary to allow you to keep up to date with current auditing news and you can network with other professionals in your field. Further details of IRCA benefits can be found here.
