This two day Carbon Management training course is designed to provide delegates with the skills to measure, manage and reduce an organisation’s carbon footprint and, where required, achieve carbon neutrality. On completion, delegates will be able to confidently take a leading role in the reporting of an organisation’s carbon management programme and make justifiable claims of carbon neutrality.

Delegates will secure an understanding of the importance of carbon management, how to develop a carbon footprint strategy and techniques for carbon footprinting. The course covers key topics including claims of carbon net-zero, the challenges of offsetting and making commitments to reduction. Delegates will acquire the skills to develop emission reduction strategies, offset emissions, undertake carbon reporting.

Governments and stakeholders are continuing to encourage organisations to calculate their carbon footprint and work towards becoming carbon neutral and, in some instances, carbon negative. Globally many, including the EU and UK, have set target dates to achieve carbon net-zero by 2050. In recent years a number of standards and protocols have been published to support organisations seeking to achieve net zero including PAS 2060, ISO 14064-1 details and the GHG Protocol.
